Staying true to its name, the Grand Electric has created a buzz in the city’s Mexican food scene. The space comes to life with the lively background music and most importantly through the distinctively flavourful food. Known for its Baja fish tacos and ceviche, the drinks list, which includes over 30 types of bourbon, is equally tempting!

Campechano Taquería

If authentic Mexican street food is what you’re after, Campechano Taquería has got you covered! The casual space is usually bustling with those eager to devour the delicious tacos, guac and quesadillas that the native Mexico City chef creates. Adding to Toronto’s obsession with tacos is Seven Lives. What started as a pop-up-shop has become the go-to Tijuanan taquería for fish fanatics, meat lovers and vegetarians alike. Due to a lack of seating, unphased diners stand comfortably along the serving counter, with their Mexican food craving fully satisfied.

With a mix of traditional bar snacks, small and large plates, as well as an outstanding drinks selection, El Rey Mezcal Bar has quickly become a Kensington Market Mexican staple. As the name implies, the vibrant yet casual bar highlights the ever-evolving must-try menu of mezcal.
